Introduction

God is concerned about us making spiritual progress in our personal life as much as He is concerned about us increasing in our impact on our world with the gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The United Kingdom as a nation has experienced a new beginning through RRORR but the job is not finished yet until it becomes a praise in the earth for Jesus Christ (Isaiah 62:6-7).

A chapter by chapter analysis and discussions of this book will enlighten us in this aspect and when the knowledge gained from it is also applied in our work for God, there will be tremendous results.

Study Objectives

· To expose every cell member to the treasures hidden in the book

· To inspire each member to the habitual use of our ministry materials

· To minister faith to the brethren

Week 3

TYPE OF MEETING: Outreach Meeting

THEME: THE POWER OF THOUGHTS

REFERENCE MATERIAL: DVD of Same Title - Message by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

INTRODUCTION

In this DVD, Pastor Chris shows us how powerful our thoughts are in creating the life we desire to live. He defined thoughts as “pictures of the mind that have constructive or destructive possibilities and have power with emotions”. Thoughts are created by you; and the thoughts you choose to allow, are the ones that will affect you. He shows us that the extent of our vision is the boundary of our blessing; the Lord cannot do anything for you until you can see it; and this is the reason He gave you a mind. The change you desire has to start with your mind and the bible shows that we can be transformed and changed by the renewing of our minds. (Romans 12:2). Your life goes in the direction of your thoughts and you can therefore create thoughts that will move you in the direction you want to go.

Pastor Chris also helps us deal with the struggle of faith which some face. He shows us in this message using the illustration of the woman with the issue of blood, that our thinking helps our faith to be effective. (Matthew 9:21; Mark 5:27 – 28). This woman heard about Jesus and thought she could be healed. She heard of his love and healing power. The thoughts that we create and allow after we have heard the word of God are very vital. They determine what our response to the word of God is. It really matters how we hear, what we hear.

This message is relevant to everyone, both Christian and non-Christian; it therefore means that each one of us can have the change we desire, just by changing the way we think. In the book Recreating Your World, Pastor Chris points out that ‘our imaginative power is our creative ability’. God gave everybody a mind, so we can think and thereby see the pictures of what we can make; everybody therefore can create the world they want to live in and the future they want to enjoy.

THE IMPACT AND PURPOSE OF THIS OUTREACH

This outreach program will help us identify practical steps we can take to ensure that we continue to be a burning and shining light this year; we are the ones to make things happen and not wait and hope for things to happen.

It is also intended to lead the unsaved and sick to know that Jesus Christ loves and accepts him/her; to help them think in a way that will allow the saving power of the gospel to be activated towards them to save and to heal. We can expect healings and salvation to take place in our outreach meetings this month, as people are exposed to these truths in the word of God, about faith, God’s love and their role in making it happen.

ORDER OF EVENTS

1. Opening prayer & Praying in the Spirit – 10 minutes

2. Worship – 15 minutes

3. Presentations: Poetry, Drama, special numbers – 10 minutes

4. Message, Ministrations & Altar Call – 60 minutes

5. Recognition of First Timers/Gifts for First Timers/Light refreshments – 15 minutes

Prayer of Salvation.

The minister leads people to Christ in prayer as follows:

“Oh Lord God, I come to you in the name of Jesus Christ. Your word says, ‘….whosoever shall call on the name of the lord shall be saved; (Acts 2:21) I ask Jesus to come into my heart to be the lord of my life. I receive eternal life into my spirit and according to Romans 10:9 ‘if thou shall confess with the mouth the lord Jesus…thou shall be saved’ I declare that I am saved; I am born again; I am a child of God! I now have Christ dwelling in me, and I walk in the consciousness of my new life in Christ.”

This shall be followed by the ministration of the Holy Ghost

Ministration of the Holy Ghost

The Cell leader leads them in prayer thus:

“Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for the Gift of the Holy Spirit. As Your child, I now receive Him by faith to come and dwell in my heart. I receive Him into my soul and body. I receive Him into every fiber of my being. I am now filled with the Holy Spirit, and according to Your Word in Acts 2:4, I speak with other tongues as He gives me utterance, in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.”

CONCLUSION

At the end of the Word ministration, the preacher should pronounce God’s blessings upon all in the meeting.

Week 4

TYPE OF MEETING: Fellowship Meeting

THEME: WATERING YOUR SEED FOR HARVEST

REFERENCE MATERIALS: THE SEED-WATERING RAIN – ROR Topical Compendium pg 317

POWER FOR CHANGE – DVD by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

Purpose

At the beginning of this year, the Lord gave us the message for the year 2011, through our Man of God Pastor Chris Oyakhilome. Year 2011 is our Year as a burning and shining light. Pastor took us to another level, where we understood that we do not ask what the year is bringing or wait for things to happen; instead we make things happen. In this fellowship meeting we will be looking at our role in bringing about the financial harvests that we desire from our seeds. This is intended to help us get the full benefits from the various seeds that we have sown following from IPPC 2010, Seeds towards RRORR UK, etc and to position us to do more for the expansion of God’s kingdom. There is so much more that we can do with and for the gospel of Jesus Christ, and our finances are vital in determining the magnitude of impact we can make for the Kingdom of God.

Study Objectives

To show each member what to do ensure harvest from the seeds we sow;

To strengthen the finances of the brethren;

To help each person see his role and God’s role in financial increase.

To highlight the place of prayer and the Spirit of God in the results we desire.

Introduction

Zechariah 4: 6 states that it is not by might, nor by power but by the Spirit of God. Showing us that God can produce for us whatever we desire through the power of the Holy Spirit. Incidentally, it is the power of God which we make operational in our lives that works for us. We all understand the importance of rain to the farmer, as the survival and productivity of the seed depend greatly on it. This is also applicable to the financial seeds we sow and the soul winning efforts that we put into the kingdom of God. There is a time to sow seeds, and those seeds are intended to yield harvests. There is a life principle that God has put in place, which means that every seed has the capability to yield according to its kind, but in multiples.

The Seed-Watering Rain – ROR Topical Compendium page 317.

In this article, Pastor Chris points out to us that prosperity is a product of the Holy Ghost. In Isaiah 32:15, we see that the outpouring of the Spirit of God brings about fruitfulness. Pastor made it clear in this article that it is not enough to just sow your seed and then expect harvest to happen automatically. A seed will not just grow on its own, as there are elements that facilitate its development. He said “Until the rain falls, nothing will happen to your seed”. We also see our place in causing that rain of the Spirit to happen, to bring about the increase we desire. As we pray, especially in the Holy Ghost, we can cause the rain of the Spirit to fall to produce the increase. Whether increase in our finances or increase in our cells and churches. In 1 Corinthians 3: 6 – 7, Paul points out to us the different functions of planting (sowing), watering and the increase which comes from God; all three are very necessary for there to be a harvest.

The following are very important factors that are highlighted in this message, which determine the outcome from our seeds:

Having an expectation from your seed; the farmer’s expectation determines what type of seed he sows his seed;

The rain of the Holy Ghost waters our seeds to cause them to produce. Isaiah 32:15 “Until the Spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field and the fruitful field be counted for a forest”.

Our prayers cause that rain to happen; Acts 4:31 tells us that when the disciples prayed they were filled the Holy Ghost; and in Acts 10:44 the Bible said that while Peter was speaking in Cornelius’s house, the Holy Ghost fell (like the rain would fall) on all who heard the word. Our prayers and declarations of Rhema can water our seeds.

Praying in the Holy Ghost.

A careful study of this ROR article is recommended by each cell leader and every member is expected to participate in the meeting as we review this timeless principle of seed and harvest. Listening to the message Power for Change will both inspire and enlighten us on the benefits of praying in tongues to make the power available to produce.

The Cell/PCU/PCF Leaders should minister the Holy Ghost to those who have not yet received the infilling of the Holy Ghost and encourage them to pray in tongues very often.

CONCLUSION

We can all be vitally involved financially in our ministry as we put this principle to work. God delights in the prosperity of His children; and we can do so much more for the Kingdom of God. The Lord is the one who ministers seed to the sower and bread for your food; He will multiply your seeds sown. (2Cor 9: 10).

Week 2

TYPE OF MEETING: Bible Study

THEME: THE TIME IS NOW – RRORR UK

REFERENCE MATERIAL: ROR TOPICAL COMPENDIUM Vol 2 (Pg 283) – Article Review

Join This Chariot by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome
SCRIPTURE REFERENCE: Acts 4:20(MSG), II Tim 2:5(AMP)

To do a proper study the following materials will be needed:

A Rhapsody of Realities Daily Devotional bible
Rhapsody of Realities Topical Compendium
Join This Chariot
Writing materials

Introduction
In April, we will be celebrating Easter and also be embarking on the largest Christian ministry outreach in United Kingdom (RRORR UK). This coincides with the royal wedding celebration and we will be on a large scale soul winning effort and it is important that we understand the importance of this endeavour and how to go about it. We are reviewing an article in our ROR compendium to serve as catalyst for our preparation for this mighty harvest of souls. We will also look at the book Join this Chariot by our Man of God to get inspiration for this assignment from the Holy Ghost. The ROR topical compendium and Join This Chariot are our ministry materials that every member of this NATION ought to have.

Study Objectives

To get inspired by the RRORR UK.

To know the spiritual implication of this major outreach.

To get everyone to be involved in this exercise

Analysis:

The article has been divided so that we can do a thorough study. The Bible Study should be done in groups and all groups in the cell should come together at the end of the study for the Questions and Answers which should be conducted by the Cell Leader.

Reaching Out (Matt 28:18-20)

Pastor Anita admonished us in the article that as a soldier of Christ we need to take the gospel to the sinners outside the church. RRORR UK provides us the opportunity to do this and fulfill the scripture in Matthew that we should go and reach people in the world with our gospel. We will be going out in large numbers to do this and it is very vital that we are all part of this exercise in reaching our world with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Soul Winning (Mark 1:16-17)

In this article, Pastor Anita tells us that winning souls is God’s priority and we must be fully involved and not to be slothful in doing this work that brings joy into heaven. We are preparing for a great number of ministry materials to be distributed so as to aid our evangelism effort. This means that our work will be made easier with these materials in getting more people to come into the Kingdom.

Now is the Time (II Cor 6:2, Rom 13:11)

It is very important that we are sensitive to the timing of God for the salvation of the world. Pastor admonished us in the article that now is the time to bring salvation to this land and see lives of men and women transformed through the power of the gospel. Now is the day of salvation for United Kingdom and we must all put our hands in it and be part of the success story in this country.

Join the Chariot (Pg 12-33)

In this book, Pastor Chris gave a classic expose on soul winning that inspires everyone to effective evangelism and teaches practical steps to reaching our world with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Chariot represents a vehicle of life according to Pastor. There is a royal wedding celebration later this month and this is our chariot at the moment and we are planning on joining in celebration so as to win many more into the Kingdom of God. We must all join this chariot at this time to communicate the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Philip joined himself to a chariot and he won an Ethiopian Eunuch. We will also win a lot of people during the RRORR UK launch out and we much be well informed of this as we begin to reach many areas in our cities and towns.

We must also be prayerful and tactful towards this exercise as we begin to reach many people in this land in this month. Our prayer will help to position us to meet the right people who will accept this gospel gladly and our tactfulness must be to locate the area where large number of people is concentrated so that we can reach them with this glorious gospel.

Conclusion

At the end of this study, everyone should be briefed on the time and place where the reaching out will be taking place and that we must all be committed to be part of this in a big way. We are not of them that draw back for we have boldness to take this gospel to our world.

Outreach update:
Spend a few minutes of the bible study, possibly during announcements to obtain feedback, on next week’s outreach.

THEME: FOLLOW-UP DYNAMICS

REFERENCE MATERIALS: MENDING THE NET - Message by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

Purpose
As a result of RRORR UK, we expect to collect data of our converts and it is very important that we are taught on what to do with the contact information. This is especially necessary considering that we will be winning new souls as a result of RRORR UK. It is therefore important are briefed on what to do with those that we will be meeting as a result of our reachout campaign.

Study Objectives

To inspire each member to discipleship

To get everyone to be accountable to the souls that will be won as a result of the Reachout.

To help cell members understand their relevance in the body of Christ

Introduction

Matthew 1:14- 20

The scripture shows us two distinct aspects of soul winning which, when combined, establishes the Christian.

Net Casting

Net Mending

Jesus met Peter and Andrew, casting their net and said to them ‘I will make you fishers of men’. As for James and John, he called them into a different kind of ministry of mending the nets.

We see from this scripture that the first group was fishing by casting the nets into the water. That is soul winning, reaching out and we do it in many different ways. On this occasion, we are using our ROR to reach many people as a result of RRORR campaign.

The second set of people he called was ensuring that the fish caught do not slip out. As these people come in their numbers, it is possible for the net to break therefore we have to constantly mend it. This is the follow up ministry specifically designed to disciple the people won. We will win more souls as a result of the campaign and it is important that we are taught on how to retain them.

We mend the net through the cell system. Everyone has to be involved in what Pastor Chris calls the ‘Body Ministry’. The bible says we are all members of the body and therefore we all have a part to play. (I Cor 12:12).

WHAT IS FOLLOW-UP?

Follow-up is a process deliberately planned with the purpose of making disciples of our new converts. ” It is the completion of the great commission Matt 28:19-20. ‘Go ye therefore and teach all nations.. teaching them to observe whatsoever I have commanded you.

Jesus wants for us to disciple all nations but the work of “disciple-ing” is not complete until the one being ‘discipled’ comes to appreciate and do the same things being done by the Master John 15:16, 2Cor 5:17-20, hence the need for follow-up.

It also includes introducing him to and involving him with other Christians and Christian service to the extent that he is positively influenced to have a deep desire for God and the things of God.

It is the work of the ministry. – Follow-up Is the completion of the great commission. A disciple is made for Christ when he has become one who lives by the word of God and an ardent soul-winner. All that is done in follow-u is designed to achieve these goals.

It is a demonstration of our part in establishing people in righteousness. – Deuteronomy 8:18 Through us He establishes His people in righteousness and teaches the principalities and powers the manifold wisdom of God. When we get involve din follow-up, we are building lives. We are remaining God’s arm of salvation to our world.

It is the strength of the growing church. Follow–up involves a lot of activities ranging from visitation, telephone calls and prayers. All these activities put together makes the church to develop both in quality and quantity. Growth in quality suggests people are being established upon the truth and growth in quantity means that as people are prayed for and taught in follow-up, a large percentage of our first timers and new converts are being retained in church.

It is a tool for spiritual development and maturity – Follow-up affects the person doing it in a most fundamental way. As the follow-up process is going on, the follow-up person meets situations that would test his love, faith and patience etc as he surmounts these tests one after the other, his faith grows in leaps and bounds.

Follow-up is a procedure for discipleship – The whole process of follow-up is a deliberate attempt to fulfill the great commission Matt 28:19-20. The pastor has given the word but someone has to follow that word to ensure that it is deeply rooted and internalized by the convert. Follow-up is a supportive ministry in making disciples.

HOW TO FOLLOW-UP

Pray for the convert.

Visit him/her – It is a visit or a call deliberately planned with the aim of achieving a definite result and this result is to mature the saint. Have specific scriptures to share and always end the visit with prayers.

Ensure he/her get the right materials

Make sure they are in a cell

Make sure they attend church services

Get them to attend Foundation School.

Encourage them in their partnership commitments.

Carry out the above activities until he/she starts doing the same things you are doing (that is discipleship)

OVERCOMING CHALLENGES OF FOLLOW-UP

Have a vision – Develop a personal vision and passion for the master. Prov 29:18. Have a personal conviction of what follow-up is all about and your role in it. Your vision would motivate you to action. When you understand the value God places on that card in your hands, follow-up becomes a very natural thing to do because a card is an individual.

Recognise the partnership of the Holy Spirit – We are not walking/working alone, we have a senior partner, the Holy Spirit who reveals to us the things to come and guides us in the wisdom of God on how to handle difficult situations in follow-up.

Be Spiritually intelligent – This just means knowing what is required of you from the word of God. As a principle, avoid arguments with the person you are doing follow-up on.

Strategic planning – This would include goal setting and effective time management. We must set out in follow-up knowing exactly what we want to achieve and then plan our time to achieve it.

Strategic Praying – This involves regular and purposeful intercession for the individual you are working on. Without this most of your efforts will be wasted. The Pauline prayers are most suitable for this. Ephesians 1:16-20, Philippians 1:9-11, Col 1:9-11

Develop practical tools for effective follow up- Learn to correspond eg via telephone, emails, texts etc,; Learn to listen attentively and be very observant.; Invest in good study materials eg books &tapes.

CONCLUSION
Follow-up is a very vital key to a healthy all round church when it is done properly. Every child of God is relevant in this ministry work. The goal of every cell must be to get to the point where all members are deeply involved in it.
